Hello students! We hope your Fall semester is coming along and that you are all getting used to your schedule of classes. There are many events that the Transfer and Career Center is putting on in the upcoming months. Our annual University and College Transfer Fair will be held on
Wednesday, October 7th from 9:30-1pm.
There will be university representatives from California as well as other states attending. If you have questions about transferring to schools, make sure to take advantage of this fair! We are also taking many field trips to local universities.
On October 23rd, we are taking a trip to Loyola Marymount University, and on November 20th we are going to UCLA for their Transfer Conference.
Attendance is free and transportation will be provided! We will be having university reps come to Harbor for scheduled appointments with our students. Check our monthly calendar to see which university is coming for that month. Come to the Transfer and Career Center to sign up for any of these events ASAP.
Many schools offer a Transfer Admissions Guarantee (TAG) where you can guarantee a spot at a university upon transfer. Most deadlines are coming up in September and October, so please come see a counselor if you’re interested in applying for a TAG. Lastly, the filing period for transfer applications for Fall 2010 are coming up!
For Cal State schools, the deadlines are October 1st-November 30th.
For UC schools, it is November 1st-30th.
Make sure to stop by if you need any assistance!
