Transfer and Career Center

Hello students!

We are a few weeks into the Spring semester and we hope all of you were able to get into the classes you needed.  If not, there are still some late-start classes you can sign up for.  Look in the updated schedule of classes for the list of classes that may still be available for enrollment.

Now that your transfer applications have all been submitted, some universities will request additional information from you.  Some schools will want transcripts showing Fall 2009 grades, others will want your tax information in order to put together a financial aid package for you.  Make sure you constantly check your emails for any requests from the universities you have applied to.  The schools do have deadlines as to when the supplemental information needs to be turned in, so make sure to abide by these dates to guarantee your spot at the university.

For the Spring, we have some fieldtrips planned for all of you.  On Friday, April 23^rd, we will be taking a trip to Loyola Marymount University.  This trip will allow you to gain a lot of transfer information and requirements.  They are also serving us breakfast and lunch!  Another trip we are working on is the STOMP Conference at UCLA on Friday, April 30^th.  This trip will help you plan your path to transfer to UCLA, but can also help you prepare for transfer to other UCs as well.  This trip is still in the process of being planned, as we have not secured a bus yet.  Check with the Transfer Center for more information on these trips!

We currently have university reps from Arizona State, Cal State Dominguez Hills, UCLA, Cal State Long Beach, University of Redlands, and some private schools that will be visiting our campus on a regular basis.  Check our calendar and twitter for updates as to when a representative from your university of choice will be here!

And remember, we are now open until 6:30pm on Thursdays!
