Matriculation: Research
This component requires colleges to use and, in some cases, expand their data-collection and analysis capabilities to measure the effectiveness of the college’s efforts to positively affect student’s academic outcomes through the matriculation process.
The research staff supports the matriculation effort by conducting studies on test validity and by collecting data for statistical reports regarding student performance. The staff is also part of the matriculation advisory committee.
The Office of Planning and Research issues a fact book and planning resource guide annually, which provides statistical reports on student enrollment, demographics, performance and outcomes.
