SPRING 2012 BOOK AWARD/CASH GRANTS

To determine your status in regards to the Spring 2012 EOPS Book Award, please consult the lists below.  For newly admitted students, please note that new lists are added periodically and it does take up to two days to process your award, so please check this page regularly for new lists.

Also, it is important that you observe the day and time your award will be available in the bookstore which is indicated at the top of each page of the list.  Due to circumstances beyond our control, book awards will not be available on the first day of school.

If you are listed on the second eligible list, you have been placed on EOPS Probation.  Your book award will be available to you on the day and time indicated, however, you are expected to complete a Student Success Review Workshop.  Failure to do so will jeapordize your eligibility for future EOPS benefits.  Please contact the EOPS Office to find out when the Student Success Review Workshop is being offered.

Additionally, we will not be offering cash grants once again for the spring semester.

EOPS CONTACT AVAILABILITY
State budget reductions have severely limited the amount of counseling hours that we can make available to students each semester.  This, in turn, has affected the availability of open appointment slots with counselors throughout the semester as they tend to fill up quickly.  We understand this creates a burden on students as they attempt to juggle busy schedules and still meet their mandated contact requirements for the EOPS program.

We make every effort to offer enough appointments for all students.  This means that we have to offer some appointments as group sessions.  These group sessions do count as contacts for the semester.

If you attempt to schedule an appointment and are told that there are no available openings, please continue to check back with us on a regular basis as we will eventually make new appointments available.

DROP-IN APPOINTMENTS

In an effort to alleviate the demand for counselor appointments, we are now reserving time each week from the counselors' schedules for drop-in appointments.  These appointments will be short (10-15 minute) appointments to ask quick questions, and they will not count as regular appointments.

Please contact the EOPS Office to find out what drop-in appointment times are available.
