Transcript Overview

We maintain records for more than one million individuals who have attended Los Angeles Harbor College. The academic record for current student, former, and/or graduated students is called a transcript. A transcript is a duly certified record of all work completed at Los Angeles Harbor College and all other LACCD campuses. Los Angeles Harbor College has retained National Student Clearinghouse to accept transcript orders on the Internet via a secured site.  This will eliminate the need to come to campus.

Student academic records are classified as confidential and may be released only to the student with student's written authorization and signature, in accordance with the Public Information Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.

Types of Transcripts:

An unofficial transcript is a comprehensive record of a student’s academic progress, including transfer courses; credit earned by exam, and earned degrees. Unofficial transcripts cannot be released to a third party. Although the unofficial transcript lists all of a student's coursework it does not include the college seal or signature of the registrar.

This type of transcript can be used for counseling purposes for future schools/universities review or for person use.

Unofficial transcripts are free and can be printed from your printer by logging into MYCollege.laccd

An official transcript is the College’s certified statement of your academic record. The record includes transfer courses; credit earned by exam, and earned degrees.  The official paper transcript is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the College’s seal and signature of the Registrar. The official electronic transcript is a PDF secured by a digital certificate, which is displayed at the top of the transcript along with a blue ribbon. Official Transcript Requests

A student may authorize a third party (Proxy) to pick up a transcript by using our proxy authorization form.  For pick up by proxy, the signed proxy request form must accompany the pick up.  The Proxy must present his or her own valid student photo ID, state-issued ID or driver's license, current passport, or military ID for transcript release.

Note:  Information provided on proxy form will be followed exactly; changes after form is submitted will require a new form.

LAHC provides two processing times for an official transcript. A regular transcript is processed within 5-7 business days. A rush transcript is processed within 1 business days. An on demand transcript is produced at the time of request.

The Requests for a General Education Certificate will extended the processing time an additional 7-14 business days. There is NO rush service or same-day service offered for General Education Certification. Students who do not know if they should request a General Education Certificate should consult a counselor or their receiving institution.
