PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Ms. J. Smith alerted the Senate to delays in the completion of the new
buildings and the likelihood that the faculty originally in the Liberal
Arts building may have to move again prior to the opening of its new
building.
Mr. Young commented on his figures on the last page of her report
showing the questionable relationship between growth rates in WSCH from
2002 and 2006 and the FF&E spending planned for the new buildings.
These anamolies can be addressed at the next Facilities Committee
meeting.
The completion of the physical sciences building is off the table since
the Chancellor will not allow the college to return the state money
already approved for a new library building.
Ms. A. Smith reminded the Senate of Ms. Hollis' retirement message
included in today's agenda. There will be a faculty event in
recognition of Ms. Hollis' extraordinary service to the college. |
