The Academic Senate voted unanimously to approve the governance model. Only some minor details were cleaned up. The ASO was happy to be involved in shared governance and the classified staff were happy with the latest version. There was unanimous consensus that the model be adopted for one year. A committee will be formed to do an assessment in March, 2002. Mr. Stanbery suggested that a signature page be provided as a backup for the agreement on the shared governance document. The document will be presented to the Board of Trustees on Wednesday, October 17th.
It was recommended that each constituent group arrange for their selections for the six PAC members right away. Each group should also try to get their selections for the representatives to the subcommittees worked out and bring that information to the next PAC Meeting on October 18th.
The undersigned constituencies of Los Angeles Harbor College do hereby agree that on September 27, 2001 all have agreed to adopt the attached Participatory Governance Model.
This agreement is for one academic year. It is understood that we will begin an evaluation process in March, 2002 with the objective of voting on a permanent model by May, 2002.
