Timeline and Assignment for Completion of Draft Governance Documents

Faculty member Mark Wood will replace Jim Stanbery.Another meeting will be set up with the subcommittee on shared governance.Ms. Hutchins is here every day this summer.

Facilities Planning – Model and Brainstorming Ideas

Mr. Peachy has included the model as part of the Day 2 Planning Retreat.A memo is going out to all faculty and staff letting them know that the model is set up in the Staff Dining Room.Everyone was asked to e-mail two times the committee will be available.Student Services is planning to provide a three-hour block of time for their staff to come up with ideas.It was suggested to offer flex time for faculty to come in during the summer. Divisions are invited at those times to discuss their own division or to set aside a separate time.A two-day schedule was set up.Two persons from the subcommittee will be available on Mondays, 10:30-12:00, and Thursdays, 1:00-2:30.

Beginning next Monday, June11 – Stanbery and Barakat

Thursday, June 14 – Khorooshi and Stanbery

An e-mail will be sent out asking for people to indicate times they could be available.Mark Wood will supply tracing papers and Ms. Menzies will help.

Dr. Spink will call a meeting of the Facilities Subcommittee.

It was suggested that a subcommittee be formed to look for classroom furniture for existing classrooms.The committee will consist of Mark Wood, Luis Rosas, Bill Englert and Jennifer Hutchins with Bill Englert as the chair.

Copies of Mr. Stanbery’s text of Senate resolutions adopted 5/21/01 were distributed.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 12th, at 1 p.m. in the Staff Dining Room.
