Mr. Stanbery reported that Senate members met Saturday and yesterday and that there is no reason to meet again on this topic until the Senate gets their part together.
Mr. Stanbery distributed the sheet on the three Senate Motions Passed today at their meeting.
A Planning Retreat will be held on June 22 and June 23, with June 22 being arranged for the external scan. There will be two panels and some of the speakers are already lined up. A flyer for the on-campus people will be out next week.
Dr. Mary Lee, Andy Dunn, and 3DI will be here on May 25th from 9:00-12:00 to finalize the facilities planning process. An organization will be hired to oversee the entire bond measure program and to make sure everything is paid on time. Twenty-five percent of the money will go to planning and design. There will be a project engineer for each campus reporting both to the president and the over-all manager.
By June 25th the Board will appoint 170 people to an Oversight Committee. The committee will be comprised of a foundation member, labor person, businessperson, someone from K-12, an active senior citizen, a member of an active taxpayer group and a student. The District committee will have several appointed plus one from each campus. The campus Oversight Committee is an advisory to the District Oversight Committee, which will make the decisions.
An Open Forum will be held on Monday, May 21st, from 12:00 to 1:00 in the Arena Theater. Dr. Spink asked that the PAC members be there.
The Senate had a committee work on the manual. They have adopted the manual and submitted it to Dr. Spink. It will be up to the PAC to review this manual. There is an error: the P.E. Division was left out.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 7th, at 1 p.m.
