Shared Governance Retreat

The Academic Senate wasn’t successful in working out the shared governance document.  They are recommending that a retreat be scheduled where sufficient administrators, classified, and students can participate.  Saturday, May 12, from 10:00 a.m. to at least 2 p.m. was suggested.  It was recommended that classified employees be paid overtime for their participation.  Those participating should plan on staying until at least 2 p.m.  It is hoped that the document can be completed that day and be ready when Linda Collins visits on May 16th at 2 p.m.

Review of Block Grant Monies

Josh Abarbanel distributed the ITAC’s recommendations for the Block Grant, Program 149 Allocation of funds.  An amount of $52,573 is available for this Block Grant.  Four proposals were submitted and the committee is recommending that the Architecture classroom upgrade (T111) and the Physical Science upgrade (PH 106) share the amount equally.  Because we cannot budget cents, the two projects will each get an amount of $26,286.00.  PAC approved (M/S/P Wood/Hollis) the recommendation as amended.
