Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, CAROL STEPHENSON moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. She received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music from USC, where she was chosen by the faculty of the Departments of Choral and Church Music as the outstanding Church Music major in her graduating class. Carol performed extensively with the USC Concert Choir and Chamber Singers and began her vocal studies with tenor, Jonathan Mack, while at USC. Carol is very familiar with the choir lofts of countless churches in the Los Angeles area and has held staff positions at several churches and synagogues including Alhambra Seventh Day Adventist Church, Temple Judea of Encino, Temple Israel of Hollywood, St. Victor's Catholic Church in West Hollywood, and St. James' and St. Nicholas' Episcopal Churches. Carol has performed with many professional and semi-professional choral organizations in Southern California including the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale and the Anglican Chorale of Los Angeles. She is a founding member of Nicolas 3, a trio ensemble for voice, flute and keyboard, which has presented many concerts in the Los Angeles area. She has also done many studio recordings including the soundtracks for the Myst III: Exile and just released Myst IV: Revelation video games. In May of 2005, Carol played the role of Cathy Hiatt in a production of Jason Robert Browns The Last Five Years. Carol teaches voice lessons and voice classes at the University of La Verne and Mt.
