| Lane Moore, a native of Canberra, Australia received his Master of Music (Conducting) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His prior studies in Australia included a Diploma of Music (Jazz Studies Australian National University / Institute of the Arts) and Bachelor of Education (Secondary Music University of Canberra). He has taught at all levels including elementary tuition, high school classroom, community organizations and college lecturer positions both here in the United States and in Australia. His performance credits (trombone) include the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Manly Jazz Festival (Sydney Australia) and the album Music for Awkward Situations by The Beeps, which was an initial Grammy Award Nominee Best New Artist & Best Alternative Album categories: 47th Grammys 2005. His conducting performance credits include the Columbia University Wind Ensemble (Guest Conductor / New York), University of Louisiana at Lafayette Wind Ensemble (guest conductor) and conductor of the South Canberra Youth Wind Orchestra (Australia). Apart from his duties at Harbor College, Lane is also working towards combining his conducting skills with his arranging/composition background in the form of film scoring. He is currently working towards completion of the Film Scoring Certificate at UCLA extension. Lane serves as the Music Department Instructional Assistant and is an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Music Fundamentals. |
