MIKE HISCOCKS earned a Master of Music degree from California State University, Northridge where he studied voice with Elisabeth Parham and Larry Jarvis.

A lyric tenor, Mike has performed roles in La Traviata, Le Nozze di Figaro, The Merry Widow, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Beggar’s Opera, Cosi Fan Tutte, Die Fledermaus, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Mike’s musical theater experience includes Most Happy Fella, Cabaret, Little Mary Sunshine, and Pilgrim’s Progress. Mike also created the role of “L.L.” in a concert reading of the new original musical comedy Lonely Lizard, a musical spoof based on the Godzilla films. In 1992 Mike served as a chorister and soloist for a choir tour of England and Scotland which culminated in a performance at the International Church Music Festival in Coventry, England with Sir David Willcocks conducting the English Chamber Orchestra. Mike’s voice can also be heard in the TV movie, Single Women, Married Men, for CBS/Lorimar and the IRS Media film December.

Mike has extensive electronic music experience both as a composer and as singer/keyboardist for the rock band Pagan Babies in the late eighties. He is the tenor section leader and soloist at Northridge United Methodist Church and has taught private and group voice lessons at the South Bay Conservatory in Torrance. At Harbor, Mike teaches Music Fundamentals, Music Appreciation, Electronic Music, and Applied Music Voice Lessons.
