  • Oversize: LC call number is preceded by the term OVERSIZE;
  • Children's Literature: location is indicated as "Children's Collection."

From off-campus, you won't be able to read eBooks directly from the Library Catalog. Instead, from off-campus, please search for eBooks directly from the NetLibrary website. You will be asked to supply your campus user name and password. Please ask a librarian if you have any questions about using NetLibrary.

The locations of periodicals in our collection, both print and electronic, can be found through our
Journal Search
.

Inter-Library Loan

Loan Periods
Most material can be checked out for 2 weeks at a time, and can be renewed a maximum of 2 times. Reserve items have restricted loan periods, and reference materials can only be used in the Library. Current issues of magazines do not circulate, and older issues can be borrowed for 2 days.

Fines on overdue materials are listed here. Class reserve books carry a fine of $12 per day overdue.

If the library is closed and you need to pay a fine to have a hold lifted to register, please call 310-233-4472. Please return overdue items to the book drop located near the library entrance. Books do not need to be turned into to staff to have holds lifted in some cases. Book drop is available 24 hours/ 7 days per week. Please use the book drop!

A library hold is placed on a student’s record for the following reasons:

  •  Books not returned by the end of the semester
  • Books that are lost or damaged
  • Books not returned before a second overdue notice has been sent
  • Multiple books overdue when First notice is sent

Book Returns
