Reserve Textbooks and Other Course Materials The Library does not purchase textbooks. Many instructors lend a copy of the current semester's text, or an acceptable earlier edition, for student use in the library, generally for 2 hours at a time. If you would like to participate in this service, please complete the Reserve Request form, and bring it to the circulation desk with a copy of your textbook or other course materials. Library Reserve Request Form Information Literacy Workshops The Library offers information literacy workshops tailored to your class, generally scheduled during your class meeting time. If you would be interested in scheduling one, please complete the Library Workshop Request Form, and bring it to the Librarian at the reference desk. (Please do not e-mail this form). Recommending Books and Other Materials The Library invites faculty, staff, and students to use this form to recommend books and other materials to add to our library collection. Please complete as much of the form as possible, print it out, and send it to Ibtesam Dessouky via campus mail, or bring it to the Reference Librarian. We will consider every request. Materials Request Form Creating Digital Reading Lists Linking to Online Articles This page provides the necessary information to create direct URL links to full-text information in the subscription databases provided by Los Angeles Harbor College Library. These instructions may be used to create digital reading lists in course management systems such as Blackboard and Etudes or on any course or department web page. Plagiarism Links Borrowing from UCLA Free library cards will be issued to faculty and librarians from accredited institutions of higher education in California, with current, government-issued photographic identification.
