COMMENTS ON DISTRIBUTED REPORTS/NOTICES/COMMITTEE MINUTES
Curriculum
Ms. Fasteau stated that the Committee had discussed the 'stacked classes' proposal returned to it for further study, and could not agree on a different phrasing, inviting the Senate to do so if it could. At the suggestion of Ms. J. Smith, the consensus was to reconsider the original language be reconsidered at a special single-item agenda for 10 a.m. June 11, reconvening as the Senate Executive Committee if a Senate quorum is not present.
Essential Skills
Ms. McMurray summarized recent progress.
Accreditation
Mr. Stanbery reported that the District Planning Committee, which supervises accreditation preparations on all campuses, focused on the visitation team reports from this spring's 'cityside' visits, which were characterized as the most diligent and critical set of such reports seen in recent memory. The Committee is distributing an outline of lessons to be taken into account.
PropA/AA/J
As a result of Monday's special CPC meeting, the consultants will be addressing the concerns they were originally to address before further action is taken on the proposal to acquire additional land potentially linking campus property to frontage on Pacific Coast Highway. The issue will be a second agenda item for our next meeting.
