Call to order and adoption of agenda
Ms. McMurray provided those present with payroll deduction forms for anyone wishing to contribute to future issues of the Harbor Tides and explained the possibilities.
ASO Report
Mr. Diaz reported that the ASO will be hosting an Open Forum featuring State Sen. Jenny Oropeza at noon, Friday, April 23.

Discussion of Resolutions Pending for ASCCC for Spring Plenary Session
Ms. McMurray drew the Senate's particular attention to several of the items (all of which are available on the ASCCC website): proposals to make official accreditation reports available to the general public within 48 hours of receipt; to censure the ACCJC for failing to apply the same standards for its own processes that it requires of the institutions it monitors; proposals on student equity; transfer degrees; the degree of flexibility colleges should be permitted in the allocation of categorical funds under the state legislation authorizing this; the 50% rule; articulation requirements for early childhood education; use of paraprofessionals in counseling; reducing the minimum ratios for counseling and library personnel to enrolled students.
Items to be presented before the Student Success Committee of the Board of Trustees April 28
Unanimous consent to recommend to CPC that [1] the governance and planning documents on the college website be consolidated and supplemented by specified additional document as a single Governance and Planning Handbook; [2] that the draft of the Planning Policies and Procedures Manual noticed for action today be adopted, subject to approval by the Academic Policy and Planning Committee of the manual's lexicon, calendar, and flow-chart that are still being revised;[3] that CPC authorize a working team to develop a Summative Evaluation Form for the College Strategic Plan for use in the April 28 presentation.
