Ms. Watkins shared suggestions received for adjustments in the "Faculty Promotion Guidelines" statement, which were incorporated into the text. It was agreed that the "non-compliance" criteria be included in the application form. There was considerable discussion of promotion criteria in general. The proposal will be referred back to APPC for final drafting.

Ms. McMurray requested that the form be referred back to APPC for further work, with key grants applicants and coordinators invited to participate.

After comments by Mr. Wood, Unanimous consent to approve the following courses as noticed:

Math 227 – Statistics – 4 hrs lec - 4 units
Advisory Committee for 2009 Title V Grant
Ms. McMurray reported that an informal group had met to consider requesting that the Senate authorize the establishment of such an advisory committee. Unanimous consent to recommend the following members to serve on this committee: Carmen Carrillo, Elizabeth Colocho, Dave Humphreys, Sally Fasteau, Joy Fisher, Lauren McKenzie, Susan McMurray, Bobby McNeel, Bob Richards, Pam Watkins, Merci Yanez, Brad Young, Maritza Jimenez-Zeljak.

Summer Senate Meeting
There was consensus to schedule a Senate meeting for July 22 if it proves feasible and invite the incoming college president to attend.
