President’s Cluster Meeting  August 12, 2004 

 

Present:  Bonnie Easley, Luis Rosas, Abbie Patterson, Josh Abarbanel, Ivan Clarke, Jonathon Lee, Ray Van Dinther, Helen Skums, Nancy Carson, Len Glover,  Lauren McKenzie, Linda Spink

 

 

  1. 55th Birthday party
    1.  Abbie Patterson reported that she is calling for a committee meeting for next week. The agreement was the 55th birthday party celebration would be internal to the college community.  It will be September 23, 2004 and held as a day of games, bar b que etc. 
    2. The committee will make the decisions as to cost, advertisement etc

 

  1. Guidelines for publications.
    1. Copies were distributed to those who did not have them.  It was agreed comments would be sent to Dr. Tomlinson by Monday Aug. 16th

 

    1. It was agreed to expand those guidelines to include ones for the Television studio.  Luis Rosas has agreed to work with Bobby McNeel and bring these to the next meeting

 

    1. Guidelines for the neon sign will also be developed.  Ray Van Dinther and Ann Tomlinson will develop recommendations for these

 

    1. Standards for stationary are being developed by Ann Tomlinson and Ray Van Dinther.  This template will be brought to the next meeting

 

    1. Guidelines for the website will also be developed.  Ivan Clarke, Jonathon Lee, Ray Van Dinther, Josh Abarbanel and Bob Richards will work on these.

 

  1. Ground Breaking
    1. The reasons for the summer or September cancellation were discussed pertaining to the changes in the bid packages.  It is anticipated that we will do our “Extreme Makeover” Party in December for the fine arts quad and nursing renovations.

 

  1. Agenda for next meeting:
    1. We will meet in two weeks August 26th at 9:30.
    2. Publication standards—review each of the categories. Please bring copies for everyone
    3. Priorities for the cluster
