LAHC President’s Planning Cluster Meeting, July 29, 2004

 

Minutes

Present:  Dr. Linda Spink, Carla Muldoon, Nancy Carson, Luis Rosas, Ivan Clarke, Nina Malone, Ann Tomlinson

 

  1. Seal
    1. Josh Abarbanel is redesigning the institutional seal and should be finished sometime in August.
    2. Ann Tomlinson will locate a company to print.  She will check with Juanita and the foundation for references.
  2. 55th  LAHC Birthday Celebration/Groundbreaking
    1. Tentative date September 23, 2004 with 11am birthday cake and noon lunch.
    2. Invitation Target Date is August 30, 2004.
    3. Theme for the event is Harbor College’s Extreme Make Over Party to signify it’s time to renovate and renew to celebrate our groundbreaking.
    4. Ann distributed the LACCD Guidelines for Prop A/AA Events (document attached).

 

  1. Assignments discussed as follows:
    1. Invitation design will be presented in two weeks with list of participants. – Ann
    2. Invitation printing will be done on a 4x6 card. – Carla
    3. Invitation mailout – Suggestions Lori Minor or Carla’s office?
    4. Music – Linda
    5. Publicity – Ann and Linda
    6. Program – Abby
    7. Physical Set up – Nina and Facility guys
    8. Communication with Events Committee – Ivan Clarke
    9. Food – Luis and Bobby (suggested Chef Joe)
    10. Video and photos – Luis will communicate with Larry Heimgartner.
    11. Special invitations for alumni, theater participants – each of us should request further information. 

 

  1. There was discussion of the publications manual draft (also attached).
  2. Next meeting is in two weeks, August 12, 2004, at 9:30am in PCR.  The agenda is:
