II. ELECTION OF CO-CHAIR
Jim Stanbery was nominated by Brad Young as Co-Chair of the committee, seconded by
Mark Wood. By consensus, Jim Stanbery was named Co-Chair of the Academic Affairs Standing Committee of the CPC. Mr. Stanbery accepted with the proviso that it would only be until the accreditation mid-term report was filed in March.

After much discussion, the following schedule and plan of action was adopted by the committee.
September 26 - 2:30 optional meeting to review templates and discuss approach for
Oct. 3 meeting
October 3 - Provisional adoption of unit review template; members also begin
individually consulting their divisions in preparation for Nov. 14.
October 17 - Final adoption of unit review template
November 14 - Adoption of grid showing program review status for all disciplines in
Cluster.
November 28 - Agreement on SLO criteria for unit reviews
December 3 - Optional meeting to discuss approach for Dec. 5 meeting
December 5 - Adoption of format for incorporating unit plans into cluster plan
December 19 - Consideration of cluster plan (dependent on CPC dates for merging
Cluster plans into college plan)

IV. SELECTION OF PLANNING TEMPLATE
Questions and discussion ensued on templates. Mr. Stanbery announced that the next meeting, to be held on September 26, will be a single-item agenda, deciding the approach to be employed in the meeting Oct. 3.
With respect to the current unit plan template, it was recommended that the columns with the College heading be moved to the far left in exchange for the Program columns.
Dr. Humphreys emphasized that it isn’t so much what the SLO is, but how you show you are meeting it. The unit plan really should be focused on whether or not you are meeting the outcome.
V. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 3:48 p.m.
