  1.  ADOPTION OF AGENDA

The agenda was accepted as presented.

  1.  ADOPTION OF MINUTES

After review of the minutes from the meeting of March 18, 2009, were accepted as presented.

Dave Humphreys spoke on the World Café style Forum held on March 27, in the Cafeteria.  A handout entitled Sow, Grow, Harvest, Plough, was distributed. It listed the ideas that were generated by the World Café.

There was a discussion on the forum. The general consensus was that it was great for getting together and generating ideas.  Some of the topics would be helpful for the units to work with unit plans.  It was felt that there probably could have been more presentations by the community, and a better show by the labor unions was expected to get a better understanding of what their needs were.  Some felt that the activities were planned in a much more complex way than needed to be and that visionary dialogue was lost.  Everyone present agreed that overall it was a success and a lot of positive ideas were generated.

Evelyn Lum spoke on the returning veterans who will be coming to the campus for

Training, and stated that staff will have to be fully trained on handling veterans.  It was suggested that a location be identified for these students to gather.  Some suggestions for possible locations in the former administration building were discussed.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 P.M.
