Student Learning Outcomes:  At the end of the semester you will be able to:

  1. Describe the six dimensions of wellness and a wellness lifestyle and be able to discuss how you would incorporate these into your life.
  2. Describe the steps in creating a behavior change plan and apply them to change one of your health related behaviors.
  3. Explain the physical, emotional and behavioral reactions to stress as well as the relationship of stress to disease.
  4. Explain how to develop and maintain a positive self concept and healthy self-esteem.
  5. Identify and evaluate the role of several lifestyle choices as they interact with and relate to health.
