Admission Information
The Health Science Division offers the following academic/educational program options for prospective students.
ADN Program
This program is for students seeking to earn an Associate Degree and meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the California Registered Nurse licensing examination.
LVN to RN transition Program
is for current California Licensed Vocational Nurses who are seeking to further their nursing education .
is for students seeking an entry level aide position in health care.
We encourage all students interested in our nursing program to attend one of the following informational sessions.
Application Filing Period for ADN program will only be accepted during the following time periods:
Spring 2014
August 1 through September 6, 2013
Fall 2014
January 6 through February 7, 2014
Note to all applicants:
In the event that the number of qualified applicants to the Registered Nursing Program routes exceed the number of positions in the program, a non-evaluative selection lottery procedure is utilized to select program candidates.
Part of the application process is to pass the TEAS test at the required Adjusted Individual Total Score of 62%.
Preparation: You are responsible for test preparation. No tutorial is offered through LAHC. Suggested options are:
- Study guide (ATI TEAS version 5) - can be purchased through amazon.com and through ATI at atitesting.com.
- Online TEAS® Tutor: designed to help you learn TEAS exam content to ensure you score your highest using an immersive e-learning approach (must have Internet enabled tablet, laptop or phone)
