Dennis D. Griffith, Instructor in Child Development, received his M.A. in Education with Emphasis in Early Childhood from CSULB. He joined the LAHC faculty in 2000, on a full-time basis after many years as a part-time instructor. He brings with him extensive experience in the field working as teacher/Assistant Director of New Horizons Child Development Center.

Teaching Assignments include: Child Growth and Development, Early Childhood Principles and Practices, Creative Experiences for Children, Programs for Exceptional Children and the School-Age Child.

Areas of Expertise: Early Childhood Literacy/Education and Promoting Positive Self-concept in Children

Outside Interests: Spending time with family and woodworking

Cheryl F. Watson, Instructor of Child Development, joined

the LAHC faculty in 1975 after receiving her M.A. from CSULB. Her present teaching schedule includes CD 10, 11, 12, 22, 45.

Joyce E. Parker, Professor of Family and Consumer Studies, joined the LAHC faculty in 1971. She received her M.A. from CSULB. Her present teaching schedule includes both Family & Consumer Studies and Child Development classes.
