Bookstore Refund Policy
A full refund or exchange will be given on textbooks and required supplies returned by Saturday of the first week of classes IF all of the conditions for
refunds and exchanges listed below are met.
1. The original cash register receipt is presented.
2. A drop confirmation for a current class, which requires the item(s) returned is presented.
3. Items presented for refund/exchange are clean, unmarked, and in resalable condition.
4. Packaged items including Syllabi, Course Packs, Textbook Packages with CD’s, Tapes, supplements, access codes, etc. are unopened in their original packaging.
*All Computer Software, Storage Media, Trade Books, Study Aids, College Catalogs and sale item sales are final.
*All other merchandise must be refunded or exchanged within 24 Hours of purchase.
*Any item not in the same condition as when purchased may not be refunded or exchanged.
*Clothing must be in unworn condition.
The Bookstore staff is solely responsible for determining the condition of merchandise offered for refund or exchange.
BOOKSTORE BOOK RENTAL POLICY
A current L.A. Harbor College Enrollment Fee Receipt, California Driver’s License, or ID, or L.A. Harbor College photo ID and Credit Card are required to rent select textbook(s). The credit card must have an expiration date of the following year or later. All rental textbook(s) accepted for return must be in resalable condition as defined by the Bookstore Refund Policy. In addition, rental textbook(s) MUST HAVE LIMITED HIGHLIGHTING NOT TO EXCEED THE EQUIVALENT OF 2 FULL PAGES OF THE TEXTBOOK(S). Textbook(s) with excessive highlighting or not in resalable condition as defined by the Bookstore Refund Policy cannot be accepted as rental returns and students will be charged the REPLACEMENT FEE. Student bears sole responsibility of returning rental textbook(s) in resalable condition. Rentals are due the last Friday of instruction of the semester. A rental which is not returned by this date will be assessed a LATE FEE and REPLACEMENT FEE.
