 2011 SEASON OUTLOOK
In two short years of existence the Harbor College Softball Program has made major strides at becoming a program to be recognized earning back to back 24 plus win seasons, as well as earning their first trip to the state playoffs last year. Not to mention earning 8 All South Coast Conference player selections, 1 All State Player selection, and 4 players who moved on to 4 year universities on athletic scholarships.

This year guided by Head Coaches Ron Brown and Jesse Espinoza the Harbor Softball Program is looking to improve upon its prior two year accomplishments, but nothing will come easy for the Lady Seahawks this season. The 2011 schedule is filled with quality opponents and every game should be a battle. Needless to say, Harbor is a proud member of the very challenging and always tough South Coast Conference which many consider to being the toughest conference in the state.

This years squad will be paced by two returning 2010 all South Coast Conference player selections Shawnae "Big Thunder" Campbell and Bailee "Lightening" Haberman. Both of whom will be looked upon to lead the way in 2011. The Lady Seahawks will also look to returning starters Jasmine McNeal, and Stacey Wade for added leadership.

The incoming class of new players is very deep and talented. Incoming transfers include Alabama State bounce back Jazmin Culpepper who prepped at Colony HS, along with Cypress College transfer and Bishop Montgomery HS product Larissa Sandoval both return closer to home to resume their softball careers, and are expected to step right into the mix.

A large cast of incoming Freshmen will also be looked upon to fill immediate positions left by graduation. Melanie Vazquez, Stephanie Sanchez, Jenna Demarco, Sonia Colavita, Paulina Nihipali, and Andrea Scott all have shown signs they are ready to step right in while Ruby Garcia, Jessica Schwartz, as well as walk on players Joselyn Fierro, and Jessica Navas Rodriguez all have been working really hard to make a push at winning a starting position.

One thing is certain, no matter who is placed on the field by coaches Brown and Espinoza all players on the 2011 roster will be expected to continue the quality level of play that has come to be expected at Harbor in its very short but successful history.

The 2011 schedule and team roster are now available, Come out and support the softball program this season.
