seahawks outgained 562-161 in rout
The Harbor football team had no answers to its early-season woes, as the Seahawks allowed 21 points in the first quarter en route to a 46-6 loss to host Ventura College Saturday night.
The Seahawks (0-3) were listless on offense and defense throughout the night, as they went 3-of-14 on 3rd-down conversions, while allowing 10-of-17 from the Pirates. Quarterback Bram Kohlhausen was 6-of-10 for 48 yards and an interception before sitting out the rest of the game during the second quarter. Leading receiver Corey Butler, entering the game with 21 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns, was held without a catch for the game, but led the team in rushing with 32 yards on nine carries.
Cornerback Cameron Malvo had a game-high 11 tackles, while tacking on an interception late in the fourth quarter.
Harbor will return home to begin National Central Conference play against Riverside Community College Saturday at 6 p.m.
